I describe the hallmark model and underscore the valuable experience each person already has moving through change. Building on that experience, participants discover how they can lead themselves confidently through future changes. I also apply the universal principles of the Transition Curve to the group's particular opportunities and challenges. Approximately 45 minutes.
Training Sessions: Power Within Change The two core models are described below.
TheTransition Curve provides a realistic model for understanding the dynamics of change as a normal, natural progression. This hallmark of the Power Within Change Program stays with people. Participants learn the four stages and how to move themselves, and those they supervise, through changes with conviction and compassion. The path of change comes alive through an experiential activity. Communication strategies for each stage are also covered. The cognitive approach to what can be an emotional experience makes this session easy to digest.
Personal Power Grid: In the second model, participants experience how to analyze the opportunities and stumbling blocks within a specific change situation. You also learn how to quickly discern which tasks are the best use of your time when faced with frustrations and multiple priorities.
I include templates of this model in the training packet to encourage future use with teams.
Option: Each session can include an application segment that offers an opportunity to discuss real situations in your workplace to demonstrate the model’s relevance and increase familiarity with it.
