Kathleen Osta
As President of Vital Clarity, Kathleen
designs and facilitates highly participatory planning experiences that help
organizations realize their potential and fulfill their purpose. She has
mastery of consensus facilitation methods that surface the alignment within
groups and trains leaders in their use. Her specialties are corporate and
personal strategic planning, large group networking meetings and change
management.
Her professional career began in the human services arena in 1972 where she held positions such as manager, public relations professional, and development director. She spent twelve years in programs that serve families who have young and adult children with special needs. Since 1989 her work has involved leading and facilitating groups to identify and achieve specific, measurable outcomes by eliciting widespread ownership of and commitment to team plans. Equipped to work within most professional arenas, she has depth of experience in collaborations, social services, education, parent groups, health care, early intervention services, and marketing.
Kathleen is also founder of AshevilleConnects, a community initiative focused on strengthening the human services safety net by leading inclusive information-sharing sessions that foster collaborations, candid dialogue and discovery of untapped resources.
She has a B.A. in Sociology from Nazareth College of Rochester, N.Y. and more than 30 years of manage- ment and consulting experience. She's a charter member of the Arizona Organization Development Network and a member of the Technology of Participation (ToP) Trainers Network.
